Welcome to the PMI Vein and Laser Center, specializing in the medical treatment of chronic venous disease, including varicose veins and spider veins.
Vascular surgeon Dr. George Carty established the Vein Center to provide effective, high quality, state-of-the-art treatment for varicose veins and other venous disorders. All patients are evaluated and treated personally, both medically and, when necessary, surgically. In the majority of instances, only minimally invasive techniques are used.

The Vein Center relies on various safe, virtually painless and effective procedures that allow patients return to a normal activity level right away. Relief of pain, heaviness and other symptoms is almost immediate and people delight in what is achieved in a few outpatient clinic visits. No convalescence is required as veins disappear while patients go about their usual activities.
Choosing a Physician for Vein Treatment
Whether treatment is for varicose veins and you are looking for an alternative to ligation and stripping surgery, or whether it is strictly cosmetic, choice of a practitioner is not to be taken lightly. Physicians from many specialties can treat vein conditions successfully. Although vein problems may appear uncomplicated, the reasons they develop and the underlying treatment rationale are not so obvious.
Without a doubt, varicose vein surgery is best entrusted to surgeons knowledgeable about the underlying physiology that causes varicose veins and about how and when to preserve the veins used in bypass surgery. Even sclerotherapy for spider veins is best administered by specially trained physicians.
